Girl Scouts from Troop #80344 and Brownies from Troop #80139 drop off donations on Good Turn Day at the Goodwill donation center in Liberty. Girl Scout Troops throughout Ohio participated in the annual Good Turn Day event gathering clothing and small household items to donate to Goodwill on Saturday, November 3.

Junior Group of Goodwill Celebrating their 20th Year

The Junior Group of Goodwill, a group of women who volunteer on behalf of Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year.
The group was organized in 1991 by a group of six women. In January of 1992, 30 people joined as charter members.

On April 12, 2012 one of Goodwill’s beloved employees, Dick Diamond, retired after 35 years with the organization. A few months after retiring, Dick celebrated his 90th birthday.

The Youngstown Foundation Helps Increase Your Contribution to Goodwill

Maximize your donation to Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries when you donate through The Youngstown Foundation’s Support Fund. The Youngstown Foundation will consider a 5% additional contribution to your donation to Goodwill. The check must be sent to and made payable to The Youngstown Foundation. To qualify for the 5% additional contribution, the donation must be a minimum of $100, and only the donor’s first $5,000 qualifies for the additional contribution. The Youngstown Foundation also accepts donations to the Support Fund through their website at www.youngstownfoundation.org.

 

The Youngstown Foundation is a community foundation which has been in existence since 1918 and is a public charity under IRS Section 501 (c)(3). As a community foundation, it has the ability to receive contributions from the public and make grants to charitable causes.
