Junior Group of Goodwill Auction Rescheduled

The Saturday Junior Group of Goodwill Antique and Collectible Auction, which was canceled due to weather, has been rescheduled. The auction will be held on on Saturday, March 20 at George Roman’s Western Reserve Auction Center which is located at 1221 W. Western Reserve Rd., Boardman, Ohio 44512.

Preview of items will be from 10am-11am with the auction starting at 11am.

Admission is $2.00 at the door or free with your Friday evening ticket stub.

The will be no sale of jewelry at this auction.

Goodwill to Begin New Teen Mentoring Program

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries is proud to launch a new program in the Mahoning Valley designed to assist youth in overcoming disadvantages and avoiding delinquency. The effort is part of a national mentoring program known as Goodwill® GoodGuides™ that helps teens finish school and transition into productive careers through the guidance of trusted adults.

New Goodwill Store Coming to Austintown in 2010

Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries will be opening a new store in the Austintown Plaza. Look for the new store to open in April 2010. The store will be modeled after the recently opened Boardman store and will employ approximately 20 people. The newest store will bring the total number of Youngstown Area Goodwill operated stores to eight. Look for more details and grand opening announcements to come.

They have no idea that Goodwill provides job training and vocational services to people with disabilities or barriers to employment, radio reading services to the blind and vision screening to preschool children.
