Goodwill Receives $4,000 Grant from The Dominion Foundation Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries recently received a $4,000 grant from The Dominion Foundation to support Youngstown Radio Reading Service (YRRS). YRRS is a non-profit, private channel radio station for people who are blind and print impaired and is a service of Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries. The money is being used for equipment such as new CD burners, players and blank media—as well as general support for the station.
About Youngstown Radio Reading Service Operating over the side-band of WYSU-FM, the Youngstown Radio Reading Service (YRRS) is a private, non-profit station serving print impaired. The YRRS broadcasts print materials which are not otherwise accessible to its listeners. Staff and volunteers read newspapers, magazines and books and host talk shows so that those who are sight impaired have access to news and entertainment.
