Community Impact

Goodwill provides a wide range of vision services designed to address the special needs related to vision issues or vision loss.

Services offered include the Youngstown Radio Reading Service, Children’s Vision Screening and the VIP Support Group.

Goodwill provides individuals the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.

We provide assistance with resource referrals, accessing transportation, soft skills classes, and finding employment.

Goodwill partners with local organizations to provide clothing and household good vouchers to individuals in need.

Collaborating with agencies ensures that needs and other issues are addressed in conjunction with meeting the needs for household and clothing items.

The Radio Reading Service staff, along with more than 70 volunteers, broadcast readings and in-house programming and assist with station operations.

This includes distribution of radios to those who are visually impaired, transportation services, and the coordination and training of new volunteers.
